If God made us in his image, then why do we die of old age yet he doesnt?

And how can he look like a human in heaven if physical bodies cant get to heaven?
I dont think physical bodies can get into heaven because supposedly your body dies and your 'soul'/'spirit' goes to heaven. Youre body stays put. Thats a well known fact - hence morgues and cemetaries.

Matthew - why would I need to pray to Jesus for forgiveness of my sins if his death already provided that forgiveness?
 
It was not God's intention that man should die. Adam's sin brought on death for himself and his future offspring. As Ro. 5:12 says: "That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned."

We were made in God's image in that he gave us qualities that he has , such as love, justice, wisdom, and power. The animals don't have that.
 
Hi, In His image doesn't have to be physical. He is Father Son and holy spirit, we are body soul and spirit. The spiritual similarity was perfect until they sinned. Then the true judgment applied and humans became mortal. God never sinned and so he remains eternal. It means his attributes, not his body.
Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the Father, he showed God by his love and mercy attributes.
 
We will live again after death just the same as Jesus did. Our resurrected bodies will live in heaven just as Jesus was bodily resurrected.
