If God is testing us all, why?.....?

heres the thing.... the church says that so that everyone still comes to church and stuff. I personally think that god is not testing us, we're ruining ourselves. I believe that there might be a "God" but why would he want us to waste our lives praising him and not just LIVING our lives to the fullest. Religious people want REASSURANCE for why their lives are not going the way they planned. personally i think people conform to a certain religion because they want to believe there is something more out there but they are so confused and scared.
 
Religious people say God is testing us all. That it all takes faith but why? I mean seriously come on!! If it's a test than I failed. I only use logic nothing else. This "test" is impossible to pass, It's like either you are brainwashed or your not. You will fail with a open mind.
