If Ford made a new inline 6...?

and put it in a slick lookin' coupe(thinking of an m3 or supra) would you buy it? What do you think? And no, I wouldn't buy it if it were a GM or Chrysler product. I wish America would stop putting v8's in EVERYTHING and develop inline 6's like Germany and Japan have.
Yeah man, I know they used to. But technology has advanced so much, they should be hopping on it.
 
At one time inline 6 cylinder engines were in about every truck as standard equipment. More and more people demanded V 8 engines so the trend reversed. Many cars made in the late 50s and early 60s had inline 6 cylinder engines also.
The market place pushed the manufacturers into V8 production.
