If evolution is true, how could the first fish make it on dry land without suffocating?

Why would a fish come to a place where there was NO food?
I've heard of lung fish and mud skippers, BUT you simply cannot decree that these are transitional animals. You have to provide evidence but I have never seen any.

Let's play devil's advocate though and assume they are living transitional animals:

This STILL DOES NOT answer how the first fish could have walked on dry land and not die.

Also, are we constantly seeing fish trying to flip around on dry land ON PURPOSE?

Also, what benefits would there be for a fish to flip around on dry land if NO ANIMALS lived on dry land yet? There would have been NOTHING but plants.
Edit: This is NO joke. Just because you disagree with my opinion does not automatically mean I must be joking. That is insulting.
