If desire is the cause of all suffering... I desire everything?

what am i to do
if suffering causes desire
and i suffer because i desire
then we play a circle game that i cannot escape.

if suffering causes desire yet is not caused by desire then how am i not to suffer

I own very little
ive sold most everything
i have little money
im not greedy
i am a single father

yet i find a craving for drugs and adrenaline around every fall of the hour
i smoke occasionaly
i meditate occasionaly
i find little value in almost everything
i do love you
im still unhappy
discontent

I quess im just looking for meaning in a universe that seems to have none (and as i am one with that universe.... i find a loss of words) I would just prefer some inner purpose or meaning. I find none
