I don't get it. People say dating is all about games and rules and all this extra BS. You can't call too soon, too late, you have to say "XYZ," you have to wear this or drink that, etc...
It sounds like you need a PhD in dating to truly find someone. Then how do all these average, everyday people end up getting married?? If all these rules and games were true, then wouldn't only pickup artists and cocky guys be getting partners? Yet Joe Schmoe, the 9-5 office worker that enjoys bike riding and attends church regularly instead of going clubbing, ends up getting married to a great woman.
If everyday average people find partners all the time, then doesn't that make all the games and BS invalid? I hear happily married couples saying that they met by chance, and basically built a relationship over time based on simply liking each other for who they are. I never hear people say, "We got married because he just knew how to play hard-to-get so well!! It was so sexy how he would never call yet would always go out clubbing--we fell in love ever since!!"
What's the deal here? What's the REAL story about how people fall in love and marry? One side says if you master the games, BS, and rules of dating, you'll be successful. Others say just be a good, happy person that enjoys your own life and relationships will just build from that.
