If Climate change is real, then why are ice caps thickening?

and why are many scientists predicting global cooling. If cooling occurs and continues what will liberals say and do. Admit they were wrong or what?
 
You aren't keeping up with the science. Currently the theory is that the cooling is being caused by run away global warming.

Confused? I don't understand it either. But I also didn't invent the internet.
 
First of all, there are no "Ice caps" as you say, second of all the thickness of ice in the arctic is at it's lowest levels in recorded history not to mention almost every glacier on the planet,
 
I don't know what to think about the whole climate change debate. Would you care to say which ice cap is thickening? If it's the Antarctic ice, that's because the Earth has shifted on its axis, causing seasonal changes and the southern hemisphere (tilted farther away from the sun) is currently going through it's fall/winter cycles, while we go through our spring/summer. Then it's reversed around every equinox. When we have fall/winter, they have spring/summer.
 
the ice caps are getting ticker in the south. and antartica is getting colder. but no liberal media is going to tell people that. look at Gore's movie a couple years ago. it was so full of lies that it can't be played in public in most countries. and not suppose to be played in schools here as facts, cause it isn't. now watch im going to get get a bunch of negatives.

Most of the people in yahoo are to young to remember Mr. Gore running around the country in the 70's saying the world was heading for an Ice Age. So what does that tell ya, also millions of years of volcano's, floods, asteroids, etc. and the left wants me to believe if I don't choose paper over plastic the world is going to melt. PLEASE!

Great Question. "Fuzzy Science." On the part of the media and Congress. Most scientists do not support man-made global warming and indicate that it is the earth's natural cycle and it is cooling. Below is a video Harvard Professors, MIT, etc "Doomsday Called Off". It also squashes Gore's Hockey Stick Graph that was one of the tools used to convince him we are going to burn up.
 
Where can I get nonpartisan information on climate change? Primary source stuff, maps of the greenland ice sheet, mountaintop photos, Arctic maps, that kind of stuff? Rush would have me believe climate change doesn't exist, Al Gore would ask for $$$. The March 2009 issue of Sky and Telescope has a neat article on sunspots and global warming, Check it out....

Remember when Senator Glenn went up in the space shuttle? He said the Earth looked dirty. Nuff said.
 
Nope. "Ice caps" are not thickening. Sea ice volume may be thickening in the Antarctic as a *result* of climate change.

NASA sponsored a study:

"Most people have heard of climate change and how rising air temperatures are melting glaciers and sea ice in the Arctic," said Dylan C. Powell, co-author of the paper and a doctoral candidate at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County. "However, findings from our simulations suggest a counterintuitive phenomenon. Some of the melt in the Arctic may be offset by increases in sea ice volume in the Antarctic.
