there were no books or technology? then religion would have to be recreated by the survivors from memory, as there would be no Bibles, no Korans, or associated Asian, Hindu or other texts. If only small numbers of people were left, odds are that these texts would be lost forever, as people would never be able to recall them in their entirety.

So without the Bible, the descendants of these people would only learn about Christianity verbally, from the survivors, who may or may not even be Christians, or they might not be "true" Christians.

Without the Bible, and with the tendency for people to change a story as it is told and retold, what would happen to Christianity in five or ten generations? Would the great, great, great, great, great grandchildren of the original survivors be able to call themselves Christians?

It would be like the game children play when they sit in a circle and the first child whispers I wish I had a cookie. By the end of the circle the person would be saying, I bought a car in the neverlands.

If no words existed, they could only loosely be considered by todays standards to be Christian. But, people would carve in stone from their memories, and there would be changes in word, but there have been changes in word anyway.
