if arrested as being drunk trying to enter a sporting event how long should

they detain me before questioning? i was stopped entering a sporting event by a special pc who said i looked drunk at 14.30 hr i obligingly went to the police station with him,was placed in a cell untill 1800hr,interveiwed and charged at 18.07hr with drunk trying to enter a spoting event,i was released to appear in court.i never spoke to anybody at the event apart from purchasing a programme,the time of my arrest to being released was 3.5 hrs.your body breaks down one unit of alcohol per hour which means i got rid of 3.5 units while being detained (the equivilent of 1.5 pints of lager)so the police are saying to be fit and proper for my interveiw at 1800hrs i was drunk to the tune of 1.5 pints is this fair
