If Apple pulls out a web-based iTunes service, could customers get old

purchases from other computers back? So with all this speculation about a "cloud Itunes" coming, where customers can access their purchases online from any internet device, it got me wondering about something. As something I'm sure many others have dealt with, a friend of mine and myself have both been victims of computer crashes without data backups and such, and lost a lot of purchases on iTunes. To my knowledge at the moment there is no way to recover these if you have not backed them up yourself; you're pretty much out of luck and either need to purchase the songs from a new computer again or deal with not having them. Such is the curse of not having a hard copy. But if Itunes rolls out this cloud system where everything is stored in Apple's servers and accessed online, then would we be able to potentially recover any past purchases we have made from our iTunes accounts?
