i had been having trouble my mms wasnt working and when id soft reset it kept erasing the settings i put in the wsp header but the problem was that i was soft resetting right after changing the settings in the wsp header. yesterday i went in and changed the settings again. for the wap1defaultport and wap2defaultport changed to 8080 and the wspheader with the accept and x-cricket-mdn and then i didnt soft reset but i tried sending a pic and it worked. then i tried receiving a pic and it worked. so now i was afraid if it was gonna erase the settings again if i did a soft reset so i waited a few hours and just left my phone on, but later i was changing some more settings i had gone into epst and after that it had soft reset my phone. but when it turned back on i checked and my settings were still there for the mms they hadnt gotten erased anymore. so i guess the fix is to leave your phone on for a while before u soft reset to allow the changes to stick. hope this helps some of u out there who might still be having mms problems. thanks to mooingrhinocero for the help.
