cope with it? If they were to land down and greet us, even if they were friendly, do you think that humanity would cope with the change that we're not alone?

Personally id love it to happen, it would be an amazing step forward for humanity to find somebody else out there.
 
I have no idea. I would like to hope so. It would be pretty cool. The thing is, what would the aliens do if they established friendly protocols? Would they enslave us? Or if we were equals, would they populate our earth or piss off back to their world?
On those grounds, our discovery by aliens would be highly improbable.
