Okay, for animal lovers, pet owners, and animal rights activists and advocates....if all animal breeding practices stopped tomorrow, how would you feel? With the possible exception of specially domesticated animals, like dogs, cats, pet canaries, and goldfish, there would be no animals available as pets. And even the dogs and cats were really hard to get a hold of (because only the most loving and caring breeders were breeding and only potential owners who met the most stringent standards were ever chosen). Would you only celebrate? Or would you be just a little sad?
