...unhealthy? Or just that they have an extraordinary ability to adapt? Perhaps they still see the world how it is, but are deciding to do something about it...

Pretend a society grows to be insane (use whatever definition you wish: full of lies so there is no trust, has run rampant with delusions, etc) are the 'crazy' people the ones who are 'sane'?
