If a law suit is commenced on behalf of my father and my father passes on

before it reaches court...? Can the lawsuit proceed and if he wins, have the proceeds go to his estate?

This is in Ontario, Canada.
 
Probably not. When the Plaintiff dies, the lawsuit dies, too. Heirs can refile the suit, though.
