Yes it does!! All thing make a noise when moving, no matter how trivial. The manner in which it dies also plays a factor, but that's a longer answer.. and yes fish do live in lakes.. All creatures expel gases(may it be air or other) during death. In water, these gases cause vibrations. And these vibrations are felt by aquatic animals in the surrounding area, which is processed as sound.
