...useless as well, what can I do? My husband and I got into an argument 2 years ago and he called the police for advice so it wouldn't get out of hand. They arrested us on the spot and eventually the charges were dropped. At the time my son was 4 years old and in the other room watching cartoons, but these police officers took it upon themselves to get DHR family services involved. I don't even believe in spanking our children and we can't seem to get out of the system. We have gone to parenting classes, anger management, random drug testing, (btw they gave temporary custody to my mother in law and the worker who did that got fired for doing things like that all the time). We didn't do anything wrong. Everyone has arguments and it is unreal what we are going through. They can't tell us why we can't get out and it seems two years later this seems like harassment. Our court appointed attorney seems to do everything my mother in law wants and she wants to keep our son who is now six and try and take our new born. How is this possible. I thought the system was set up to help families and protect abused children. Who do I go to about this DHR office? By the way, this same office was involved with me when I was 14. I ran away because I was molested growing up and they sent me back home to live in hell for another 3 years until I could get away. My attorney told me (when I brought this up the other day out of frustration) that it was because it costs money to find homes for children when they are abused. I cannot believe this kind of mess can happen in America. HELP!!!
