if a cellphone does not have gps, can you buy something to make it gps capable?

my daughter has a lg 290 cm straghttalk. I want it to have gps, so I can add her to my family locator.can I buy some kind of gps device and put it in her phone?

um... sorry to tell u this brah, but Nope, don't think so. all gps chips are install during factory build, so nope.
