If a buy an Apple iMac in the USA can i use it in the UK?

I have always wanted an apple computer, and figured out with the current exchange rate, it would be cheaper to by one in the US, so i plan to in December.

What I would like to know is can i use it over here? Will it be compatible with the WiFi here and all that stuff, i know the plug will be different, but is there anything else i should know?
