...McCanns would they be free? I doubt it. You and I both know they would be sitting right now in a Portugese prison cell.

So whats the difference? Or is it OK to provide a lower level of care as a parent than if you were a stranger?
 
I have a feeling that their professions have protected them and feel sure that if a babysitter had been caring for Madeleine on the night of her disappearance that babysitter would have been prosecuted.

I still cannot believe that anyone would leave 3 tiny children alone at night! I don't know how they can carry on with the guilt they must be feeling. I don't leave my daughter alone if I go out in the evening and she is 14.
 
very good point. No i think they would have been "guilty till proven innocent". It really angers me that it has become so acceptable for the McCanns to have left their children unprotected. i would like to bet they made sure their cash was in the safe though
