There is a law in Texas that states that a 17 year old can leave home without any penalty and the police will not bring them home. If a 17 year old from another state leaves home for Texas, can the police make them go home?

If the law in your state says 18 that is what counts. You are a citizen of the state you are currently living in.

No they can not make the teenager go home, but the parents will still have legal responsibilty over them. So if someone wants to sue the teenager or they distroy public property, the parents still get stuck with the bill.

I live in texas and the answer is yes the police will get them to their address, since they are not residents they must go home, they are still minors.
