F-22 Raptor verse 50 P51 Mustangs. All the Raptor would have to do is climb above where the Mustangs could fly, tap the afterburner and coast out of their range. Now if the Raptor had to engage they only carry so many Air-to-air missiles these can be used long out of the range of the mustang's guns. After that the Raptor is down to it's gun, with a grand total of 480 rounds of 20mm firing at 6,000 or 2,000 a minute, roughly 5 seconds of ammo. The Raptor just doesn't carry enough ordnance to take on fifty air planes.
Now if the Raptor could be fitted to use the AIR-2 Genie of the 1957 through 1988 and the Mustangs flew in as a nice group of formations. that would be a different story.
