IE works, Firefox works, Google Chrome NOT - What to try?

have a proxy setting in IE and FF the same (behind corporate firewall).
I know Chrome uses the proxy configuration from IE. Why IE is working but Chrome NOT?
What could I try to make it working.

Chrome is much snappier than FF. That is why I would like to use it at work as well.
