I recently had a discogram which revealed I had three Grade 5 tears (L3/4, L4/5, and L5/S1). My neurosurgeon recommended me for an IDET procedure. During my last visit with him, I told him about pain I was having only at night when I lay down to go to sleep. The pain starts at the top of my right shoulder all the way down to my foot (only on the right side); the pain is similar to restless leg syndrome. My doctor sent me for a cervical MRI. The MRI revealed I have mild disc bulging and osteophye at C4/5 and C5/6. At C6/7 I have a right paracentral disc herniation. My question is should I still have the IDET procedure on my lower back, given the new diagnosis of my cervical?
