Either one of my friends or ex-girlfriend keeps signing me up for online text services, specifically horoscope sites, and using personal information of mine to do so. Is there anyway to protect my identity in this situation? Will a credit freeze help? I want to prevent any and all info about my personal information so that I can avoid this headache. I'd hate to change my cellphone number over this since I've had it for awhile but even if I do that I still don't know if it's just a joke or who to trust.
