Ideas for writing about The Stranger by Albert Camus?

I have a "creative option" for an essay on The Stranger. I want to incorporate this idea of absurdism (an indifference to life), and maybe how Meursault acquired this way of life. I thought I might write a preceding chapter to the book, perhaps back in his childhood, or a chapter from his mother's point of view and how her character aligns with Meursault's.

Any other ideas? Or advice as to how to expand upon what I already have? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated =)
