okay, so basically in sport we're studying dance. we were all put into small groups of about seven to think of ideas. in our group, because half of us have done hip hop and half of us do gymnastics and/or contemporary/lyrical dance (i did lyrical dance for a long, long time and i do rhythmic gymnastics), we decided to do something that almost resembles 'step up', except there's no love story and we've replaced ballet (if that was what was featured in the movie, or was it contemporary?) with lyrical.
i'm choreographing the lyrical because i've had the most experience with that style of dance. at the end of the piece, however, we're going to merge the two styles to create, obviously, lyrical hip hop.
what are some good songs for a group lyrical hip hop dance where the choreography won't be too difficult? it needs to be some sort of like, RnB type song, i suppose.
also, any ideas for lyrical dance music will be greatly appreciated!
also, any move ideas would be really helpful. by no means am i asking you to choreograph the entire thing for me, of course not, but it would be really awesome if you gave some specific ideas/movements for me to work with that really correspond with the lyrics. don't worry, you don't have to, only if you want to!
