idea on how to conquer gas prices?

I have an idea on how to hopefully conquer the rising gas prices
like how a bout getting regular cable instead of satellite or even getting a cheaper internet to save for gas or maybe even other things to sacrifice what do you think?
 
If we could all maneuver ourselves into position to quit being addicts, the price could go down rapidly. Unfortunately, most have subscribed to that wasteful lifestyle where you must drive to work, et cetera...............I have certainly cut down my driving but now I am retired so am fortunate...........
