Icons/Agendus&Datebk5

Pardon my frequent questions of late, but I'm trying to "tighten things up a little" before proceeding with the spare T3 and a laptop. These "icon questions" are important to me, but they're not for the faint of heart and many of you either won't care or haven't "played with them" to the extent I do. Basically, I have ONE SET, 93 of 'em, and then an "inventory" that's kept on the card. I don't like more than the "needed Icons-Iambic" set on the handheld because it caused crashes with earlier versions of Agendus (before 8.06) if they were accessed.

RE: Icons:

1. Icon Manager shows a little "dot" occasionally in its icon sets (or its views of your Agendus icons, for example). It also has the incorrect count - 96 in my case, instead of the 93 that are actually in there. Why is this and why isn't the "dot" removeable? Is that transferring as a corruption to the Icons-Iambic file?

2. If you drag and drop icons WITHIN AGENDUS's Icon Manager to where you want them, they do not follow that order when viewed in Icon Manager. I'm wondering why that is, and if the "placement number change" isn't contributing to possible corruption.

3. I've just done a rather extensive search for a PC BASED Palm OS icon editor, freeware or otherwise, and can't find one. Is IconManager the only icon editor? Please advise if one is available for PC; I'd like to OPEN THE ICONS-IAMBIC database on the PC, edit, look for "garbage" or corruptions, and RELOAD that on the T3. Right now, I'm not sure what I've got.

What tipped me off to all of this was loading a freeware desktop Agendus patch (see other thread dated today) and seeing that one icon was repeated THREE TIMES. When I copied it to IconManager, deleted it, pasted it back in and moved it to a different location, the "other 2" went away. It got me thinking there must be a way to look at an icon set on the PC.

4. I hear things like "32x32" and "16x16" for PC desktop icons - I can figure that out. But what is the "description" of palm os Agendus/Datebk 5 icon sets? Is there a specific "description?" Are they "mini-bmps" or something "standard?"

5. Perhaps MOST important - what would be the easiest way of RELOADING, in order, my Icons-Iambic "set" to MAKE SURE they're "okay?" Is it as simple as creating a new iconset name in IconManager, then pasting them in (IN ORDER), deleting "old" set and renaming new set "Icons-Iambic?"

Thanks all - will mark this thread "subscribed" and hope for the best!
