Ice Hockey Rules and Etiquette?

I'm going to watch my first Ice Hockey game tomorrow night
(GO CANUCKS GO!)
And as an Aussie, I can't really figure out how to understand the game.

Could someone give me a few general rules about the game? or websites to go to?
and also crowd etiquette? Do you boo for your opposition? Or do people yell?

Sorry, this may sound like a stupid question but I honestly don't know what the sports games here are like.
