I870/drm

i was reading the i870 manual and read something about DRM's. something about the only way you can put ringtones on your phone is they must be a DRM.

what exactly do they mean by this and how do you do this? Someone please help me, i'm going crazy with these default ringtones.

Well im pretty sure that you can load mp3's and wav's to your i870. Just try it, if it doesn't work then you'll know.

You need a cable to load ringtones from the webjal application. Cables run anywhere from $10 to $40 and then you can get the webjal program for free. Then you can load whatever mp3's as a ringtone. I know exactly what you mean about the sorry ringtones on this phone. Good luck.

What DRM is: "Digital Rights Management" = copy protected ringtone or song.
depending on the DRM settings of the "ITEM", ringtone, song, what ever.... It may or may not allow you to share this item with others via phone to phone swap... this includes wallpaper also.
