You can erase the camera shutter buy doing a recover operation in Carrier/SuperAgent RSS or Depot. BUT This performs a full reformat of your phone. So u have to decide if its worth it to you.

i wouldnt get rid of the sound cause it is against the law, you can get arrested.

No you can't. That's the silliest thing I've ever heard. My Treo 600 doesn't have a shutter sound. If we all go by your logic, everyone who owns a Treo 600 would be arrested?

new law passed recently that all new camera phones must have a shutter sound or something that indicates to the person thats being photographed that a picture is being taken.
