I wrote my girlfriend this sonnet. Do you think she'll like it?

I gaze, while I wonder and dream of you,
upon breathtaking, mountainous ice sheets.
While the ice melts to paint the prettiest blue,
I close my eyes; how quickly my heart beats.
They say the glaciers go five thousand feet,
below the layer that my eyes can see.
But this is no extraordinary feat,
compared to the depth of my love for thee.
Shivering among these white mountain tips,
I long for the precious warmth of your lips.

i wrote it while in alaska. is it romantic, or corny?

that's really good! i don't think you should read it to her though, just give it to her written out. I don't see how she could not like it, honestly.

I love it! It's a very well written sonnet. If it were me receiving it, I would prefer to have it attached to a bouquet of flowers on a hand-written note or something rather than read to me though. Having it read to your girl would be a bit too sappy and cliche I think... You know her best though. Well done!
