I wrote a sort of a goodbye poem to an ex I can't seem to stop thinking about lately. Writing it really helped me get over her but, I'm not sure if I should publish it on my blog or not. I don't think it's really that great but, I'd like to know what you all think.
"From the warmth of the candles
Romance lit on our first date
It was love at first kiss
Or even love at first hug
We thought it could last forever
From the night you were so cold
To the night we rubbed noses
The first time you said you loved me
Memories we won't forget.
Moments that last a lifetime
Remember the promise we made?
We'd be together to the end
But promises are only words
Different meanings for everyone
But it meant everything to me
I never wanted to write
All these words down for us
But with all hopes and dreams
Of the things we'll never do
There's only one thing left to be said
We had our ups and our downs
We had the good and the bad
Memories that can't be erased
And I wouldn't take it back for the world
You will always have a place in my heart."
The poem is aimed towards a woman so, I'm looking for a woman opinion here. What do you think?
