I would love to be an author!?

I love to write but, I NEED to travel or just get out of my home town! i would like to travel for inspiration and just write.Can an Author do that or do you have to be something else,like a reporter or something that an Author can't do? thx alot!!!!
 
Writers can do whatever they want for inspiration! Some get it from dreams, some from friends, some from experiences . . . everyone is different! Do whatever you need to do to get the inspiration you need!
 
Of course authors are allowed. The only thing required to be an author is the ability to write, where you get the inspiration is completely up to you. Quite a free job, really :)
 
To be an author nothing is more important than to have loads of creativity and a dash of imagination and a good deal of knowledge of what your writing.
As you like traveling you can try to find inspiration from your travels as you said.
 
the only thing you need to do to write is write write write. write it, print it, change it, then write again
 
If you're an author all you have to do is write. You can write from anywhere. Write from your house in a small boring town or you can write from half way around the world sitting on a beach drinking mojitos.
