I would like to vote for Obama (not a big McCain fan) but what is his stand on guns?

I've heard that he's very anti-gun and when I went to the gun show everyone seemed to hate his guts there but I haven't really found any evidence.

Can someone please just tell me his real stance on guns? Thanks.

Who cares its not like the president can introduce new bills. And we had a democrat majority and I don't see any anti-gun legislation being passed by congress

He CAN ban guns. Getting guns unbanned in DC was a 5-4 vote in the SUPREME COURT and having guns is in the freaking constitution. So 4 of those votes were unconstitutional, having only one more vote against us would've set the slate for banning guns all across America.

Obama has changed his views many times, always for the masses - hes very liberal and obviously a liar. I don't really like McCain either, but vote for Obama and see guns, hunting, fishing - all that - get trashed.

The only supreme court seats who'll be up for re-assignment will be the liberal ones, so if its McCain who gets elected it'll mean a conservative supreme court for the next 20 years who'll roll over for the GOP at each step.

Supreme court has the power to decide whats constitutional and what isn't, giving black people the right to vote was unconstitutional too. Giving women the right to vote was also unconstitutional.

Who cares if he is liberal? You think only conservative opinions should matter? Guess what, if there are more liberals in this country then that means the country prefers a liberal view point. (and lets face it, its not a liberal vs conservative any more, its now liberal vs neoconservatives who want to spend the same money liberals do but want to give it away to Iraqis instead of Americans)

So like I said guns won't go away just because Obama replaces one liberal judge with another. So hunting won't be replaced either, and last time I checked you don't hunt with automatic weapons, you hunt with a one shot rifle. And fishing? Thats just retarded.

They havent introduced one because they know President Bush would use the bill to wipe his ass right after he vetoed it. They cant get enough votes to overturn a veto.

Obama + the Pelosi Congress= Major Fail

Jim Webb:
"I?m a strong supporter of the Second Amendment; I have had a permit to carry a weapon in Virginia for a long time; I believe that it?s important; it?s important to me personally and to a lot of people in the situation that I?m in to be able to defend myself and my family."

Mark Pryor:
I am a hunter and a gun owner. I believe the right to bear arms, granted to us under the Second Amendment, is vital to our existence as a nation. If elected, you have my word that I will fight to preserve your Second Amendment right. I oppose any new restrictions being placed on gun owners.

Ken Salazar:
My philosophy and views regarding guns is based in large part on my upbringing, as well as on the law. I believe that the individual right to use firearms for protection, hunting, and recreation should be protected. I learned to use and respect firearms growing up on a ranch in the San Luis Valley, 5 miles from the nearest town, and often slept alone with a .22 rifle next to my bed for protection.

Baucus is pro-guns
Tester is strongly for gun rights
both ND senators are for gun rights
casey opposes gun control
leahy and sanders are both pro-guns

I'm not going through more, but it's pretty easy to try reading once in awhile instead of just going "z0mg all democrats want to take my guns away "
