I would like to start an Etsy business...?

My sister just started a business on etsy selling handbags, Milk And Honey Handbags, and she was talking about how people sell banners and things for other people. I think this would be a great idea for me because I love graphic design and digital art...but I have no idea how to start. I need to make an etsy account first of all, do I just wait for people to contact me and figure out what they want in their banner? Do I need to make the banner a specific format or size? How much do I charge? What else should I know? Thanks for the help.
ANY type of basic information would be helpful! I really have no idea about much of the etsy stuff.
 
Make a couple of different banners and photograph them. Put on your account that you will be happy to make a banner for them with whatever they want written on it. There must be a place on the site where you can give contact info. I have visited Etsy several times but didn't look at how you would do that. One woman paints pictures exactly like someones photo so I'm sure there is a way for buyer and seller to communicate. Hope you do well!
