I suppose my life is a little non-conventional. I met my husband during my first week of college. He's 4 years older than me. We got married the semester that he graduated from college. He works full time. In January, he started working on his MBA. I'm embarking on my 5th (and last) year of college. My major is interior design and fashion merchandising with a minor in business.
Recently, I've been interested in starting a wedding planning business. I don't really have the capital it would take to get this hypothetical business off the ground. But I'm still interested in getting some information.
I have an education in interior design and fashion merchandising. I'm married, so I understand the stress that brides have with wedding planning. I'm very creative and crafty. My ideal would be to help people on a budget achieve a creative and beautiful wedding.
What would I need to do to start this? Should I start a company under an LLC title? Do I need to be licensed? (I live in VA.)
The whole suing thing is why I asked about LLC.
