I would like to ship over a T-Mobile G2(unlocked version) from America to Malta

.Would there be any problems? I'd like to ship over this phone from america to Malta (EU):

Would there be any problems connecting to service providers other than T-Mobile?
Or would there be any similar problems with network/ 3G Wifi etc?
