tractor or dirt motor bike? what would be a practical lenght. for a small pick-up truck with only 2 wheel drive (rear)
i'm thinking about 9 feet long or so.would like some professional answers

Well youd need a wide ramp, or two smaller ones for the wheels if you're going to unload and load a lawn tractor.

Id invest in a trailer really. Ramps can go haywire for the most bizzare reasons anyway.

I had good luck with 8 footers, but I also bought the ramp end kits to help keep them on the tailgate and to ease the transfer from ramp to truck bed. I would also recommend attaching a rope or small chain to the ramps for attaching to the truck so they can't pop off the truck while you're using them.

Get yourself some 10' or 12' 2X12 and you can get metal ,bolt on ramp tongues through J.C. Whitney or any MC mail order catalog.

After using them you can cut them shorter ,but if you start too short ,it's pretty hard to make them longer.

I use 9' on my trailer, but it sits pretty low.
