...this to get proper amperage? I would like to make a homemade super heavy boombox for work that consists of two truck boxes with 10'' subs, a 100 - 200 watt amp and a head unit. I would like to achieve my goal but I don't know the proper hardware needed to convert 120v AC current into 12 - 14 volt high amperage power. I know that I need a diode rectifier and possibly a transformer or a capacitor. Could anyone (master electrician preferably) point me in the direction of the proper parts (including links would be great) and the setup to achieve my goal without killing myself? Thanks. I want to use these components so please don't answer with, "Oh just buy a sony boombox."
