i use yola.com easy to use.

however it does mean your site will be called ________.yolasite.com

but if you do want your own site ie ______.com you can pay 19.95$ for a year which is pretty good and very easy to upgrade to.
 
...new book... any suggestions? I know there are numerous places online such as freewebs that allow people to create basic websites and get them up and running for free. Can anyone recommend which one I should use?
