I would like to learn about CGI?

I would like to learn about CGI and such, so i could make my own little action scenes and such. what is a good one to use and such. I thoroughly enjoy the ones off of Red Vs Blue season 8. how would I do that?
red vs blue did do theatre, but their more recent has to be some form of cgi.
