use gimp shop.. its best to use a picture of you and your friend.. if you can good a good quality picture of your friend then get one of your self.. what you do is open both pictures. and open a new project.. i would recommend something like 6x8 inches and at least 300 or 400 psi now take the a picture.. copy and past into new project.. create new layer then copy and paste the other picture.. into the new layer... remove the back grounds from both pictures there are several ways to do this. im sure you can find a tutorial on youtube.. just look for photoshop tutorial the tools and methods are almost identical anyways.. then position the the pictures the way you want.. the lasso tool is helpful for this so is an extra layer.. if you want your arm around your friend for example use the lasso tool .. to select your arm push cntrl+c to copy the arm then cntrl+x to delet it.. then go to new layer cntrl+V pastes the arm.. edit it with free transform unil its positioned the way you want it.. you can edit the transparency.. then delete anything that isn't wanted.. like anything around the arm. and probably the section of your arm that may be covering your friends face.. once you get the pictures positioned how you want them.. next you want to blend and smear to make them look more natural.. again it would probably be best to find a tutorial on that.. or if you want it to look like a drawing.. download inkscape another free program.. and just outline your photos and you can paint them or what ever you like.. also with Gimpshop be sure to save often as its free it does have some bugs and sometimes it may crash..
