take in your opinion? I don't want the shifter to be on the steering column, i actually want it to be on the floor so I don't have to worry about a big hole to cover up and I also know it would be more money to put it on the steering column.
The clutch played out and the transmission is acting up so I have to change the tranny anyway. Here is what I was planning on doing and you tell me if it isn't that easy....
buying an automatic tranny from a junkyard and I believe I will also need the flywheel and maybe a few other parts.
buying a universal shifter from a parts store and then hiring someone to put it on. Some people are saying it would be easy but others are saying it would be difficult...what do you think?
BTW...it is an 1988 ford f150
