longer have the color.? Home Depot says they can make the right color paint if I can scrape a sample of the paint about the size of a quarter off the wall so they can match the color. What is the best way to scrape a paint sample the size of a quarter off the wall so I can bring it to Home Depot?

I'd say go behind a bed/large dresser, something that will cover the missing patch and use a razor blade or box cutter and slice a square out, it should be pretty simple.

Get a very sharp blade from one of those break-off blade knives (but don't put it in the plastic holder) and holding it carefully do a careful slice in a discreet corner. You can always fill it with some lightweight spackle afterwards if you go a little too deep. Be very gentle with the piece you extract as it can break very easily. Take that to home depot and they will match it.
