I have been either in sales, resales, saves/retentions, or cancellations for the majority of my life. Good maners is good customer service, doesnt mean you have to kiss their ass.

The customer is NOT always right, but the cus is always IMORTANT, even if it is, only, in her/his own mind. ALL extra service to ANYONE, includeing you{the reader} deserves a gratuity.

[Comes from doing deliveries to snobs that wouldnt tip then complained about the tires on their jag getting slashed.]

Sales is the easiest, but retentions/saves/cancellations is the hardest. But they both work off the same technology.

If you really want to learn retail get a job as a cashier in a c-store.

As for shooting you, I'll decide in the morning, good luck, I usually get up really cranky.

Rich people? Uuughh...I'm surrounded by them.

Arrogant, two faced, selfish, backstabbing assholes, nearly each and every one.

Friends are friends for personal gain, usually reputation. Nothing else.

Also, I love how many rich kids are compulsive liars.

Bitch, you have all that money, you can go out and buy what you need, you don't need to lie about it.

My favorite customers are the ones who actually had to work for their money and maybe don't speak English so good. They come in, doubt everything you say, call you a liar, are rude, and always expect you to give them a "good deal."

My very very favorite is a particular ethnic group, of which one of my best friends belongs to, and he won't even work with them because of how bad they treat retail employees.

My stepbrother works in somewhat of what of an atmosphere you're describing. He works at a Homedepot Expo, where things can be priced way over $100,000. He also gets the short end of the stick ontop of that, he's that frustrated guy over near the consumer help where you return items that weren't bought broken, you broke it and are trying to make it seem like you bought it "malfunctioned." Since you'll have to deal with sucking up to people all your life until you're at the top of your game, I'd suggest you either go back to school, OR if you're at a place where you know advancements aren't too rare and the pay is nice, just suck it up for now. Things will get better over time.
