camp--What should I expect? I'm a little nervous here. I will start a tough endurance/fitness training routine with a personal trainer hired by a cadet camp this month. I hope to start working at the camp during the summer. Trainees aren't given much information on what to expect at the training sessions, but I know that it is going to be boot camp-style. I will meet the trainer for the first time next week, but I was wondering if it's appropriate to call him by his first name, or should I automatically refer to him as Sir? He is a couple of years younger than me, so it's a little awkward. Also, I have been sent an e-mail with a date and time by the trainer for an interview and assessment/evaluation session. I've heard rumors that other trainers associated with the same camp will start with a weigh-in and then really test the trainee's limits with push-ups, sit-ups, crunches, etc. The guidelines say that I should be neatly dressed for the interview with the trainer, but was given no instructions on whether to bring a set of gym clothes to change into for the weigh-in and evaluation. According to the same rumors, other trainers will get the trainee to undress to his underwear and socks for the weigh-in, and will have him start with push-ups, crunches and sit-ups immediately afterwards, not giving him the opportunity to even change into gym clothes. Maybe I don't have the right attitude, but I think I would find it humiliating to have to do the evaluation in my underwear. Would it be appropriate to bring a set of gym clothes and ask the trainer to let me change into them after the weigh-in?

Bring with you only items they told you to bring. If they gave you no additional instructions, dress neatly and report by the time you were told to report.
You can begin by calling him "sir", and if he wants you to call him something else he will tell you. Just because he may be younger than you is no matter. He is the instructor and deserves your respect.
You need to get used to wearing your underwear or being naked around other men. So don't ask to bring your gym clothes. If instructed to remove your pants, just do as you are told.
You are attending this boot camp to obtain a position at a cadet camp. Your instructors are preparing you so that you will be a good man. Make up your mind to do everything you are instructed to do in exactly the way you are told, without question. You need to be as good a follower as you can be so that you can become a good leader.

I guess you should expect just about anything! All great stuff though. It's really good what your doing. Good luck and don't worry, you'll be in great shape when all is done.
