I will have hives on my arm after I put it on the edge of the table.?

Okay, so I think this thing started somewhere between March or April this year until now. Whenever I put my arm on the edge of my desk, I would just place it there and when I stand up, I would feel this itch so I scratched it. Then after a couple of minutes, it grew bigger, something like hives, but in a straight line. After a few hours later, it would disappear. But that's not my only problem. I would have hives about an hour or so after I had dinner. Well, I don't eat the same thing every night, so how could I be allergic to everything? If I didn't eat anything, nothing will grow on my arms. I told my mom to take me to the doctor, but she refused. I already asked her, but she kept telling me this - as long as it doesn't hurt, you'll be fine. Besides, it'll be gone the next day. Whenever I ask her to take me to the docs. she'll say the same thing. I couldn't go there myself because my pocket money can only last me for the whole month and I don't have anybody who'll take me there. Please, can anyone tell me what these things on my arms are? And is there a cure for it?
