I went to the gym for the first time today, not sure how well I did?

I'm 17, male, 5"7, 15 and a half stone (about 220 pounds).
I did 15 minutes on the treadmill, 15 minutes on the cross trainer, and 20 minutes on the bike. Total 50 minutes.
It defiantly felt like a good workout, not sure if I should be doing anything differently though, suggestions?
Well my main goal is weight loss. In the long run I would want to start gaining muscle but that would be for maby a year because I'm pretty big at the moment. My lifestyle: I go to college 5 days a week, I walk, and it's about 10-15 minutes there and back so I do about half an hour extra walking a day. I'll also be going to the gym 3 times a week.
